Cass Commercial Bank formed a new division focused on financing equipment purchases for businesses, not-for-profit organizations and municipalities through capital and municipal leases. The bank appointed Senior Vice President George Hoeffner to lead this new effort.
Hoeffner joins Cass after with 28 years of experience in equipment finance, the last 6 years with Central Bank of St. Louis where he started the bank’s equipment finance group. He previously founded Starboard Capital Group, an entity that marketed loan and lease products targeted to middle market companies.
As an area commander for Operation Brightside, Hoeffner was also responsible for organizing the effort to improve and beautify the Gate District in the City of St. Louis. He helped organize the Gate District and served on the board as president through its formative years.
Founded in 1906 in St. Louis, Cass Commercial Bank is a wholly owned subsidiary of Cass Information Systems, a provider of integrated information and payment management solutions to the transportation, energy, telecom and waste industries.
