The Leasing Foundation announced that Nils Jaeger (vice president, International Finance, John Deere Financial), Bret Thomas (VP & global business head, Xerox Financial Services Group), Patrick Jelly (managing director, Pitney Bowes UK), Rob Macredie (professor of Information Systems and former pro-vice-chancellor at Brunel University), professor Iwan Davies (pro-vice-chancellor for Internationalization and External Affairs at Swansea University) and John Bennett (managing director, Hitachi Capital Business Finance) have agreed to become governors. They join a distinguished group of individuals from across the industry that will join together to help fulfill the Foundation’s mission of philanthropy, research and professional development.
Foundation director Peter Thomas said, “This latest addition to our group of governors means we are not only creating a strong presence right across the industry, but also developing our ability to clarify, focus and engage in new thinking around research, education and professional development for the industry.”
The mission of the Leasing Foundation is to support the leasing and asset finance industry by providing focus and organization for charitable activities, by performing rigorous, challenging and relevant research in areas that impact the industry and its future, and by seeking opportunities to sustain the industry by developing people in the industry. The Foundation is not a lobbying body or a trade association.
