Republic Bank named Peter Musumeci the market president for the Metro New York area, which includes New York City, Long Island, Westchester County and northern New Jersey.

Musumeci was chief credit officer and chief lender for Commerce Bancorp from 1974 to 2007. During that period, Commerce grew to $50 billion in assets, including its expansion into Metro New York. Recently, Musumeci has been a consultant to Republic Bank, assisting the credit and lending team focused in Metro New York. Musumeci is also a member of the board of directors of Republic Bank.
