Sparta Commercial Services announced that Andrews, SC and Gifford, SC have become the latest jurisdictions to join Sparta’s municipal lease program, with the acquisition of new Dodge Charger police cruisers to replace older vehicles in their respective fleets.
The municipal lease program provides the flexibility of leasing equipment as opposed to the traditional method of an up-front total purchase.
“This is our first experience with Sparta’s Municipal Lease Division, and I hope it won’t be the last. From a budgetary point of view, the lease made good sense to us,” said Keith Mitchell, Gifford’s mayor. “Like a lot of municipalities around the country these days, our budget allocations always require difficult choices. But with the Sparta program, the ability for our department to pay over time, as opposed to an all up front outlay, eased the challenge, and we’re especially pleased with that.”
Sparta’s Municipal Lease Program can accommodate most types of essential equipment, including automobiles, motorcycles, busses, trucks, fire equipment and tactical vehicles.
