Stonebriar Promotes Three Key Staff Members

Stonebriar Commercial Finance promoted Dirk N. Stock to vice president, Portfolio, Harrison P. Smith to investment manager and Ryan Ellis to director in the Real Estate Group.

A 30-year industry veteran, Dirk joined Stonebriar at inception as a senior investment manager, underwriting complex large-ticket equipment transactions. In addition to his current underwriting responsibilities, Dirk will oversee the maintenance of portfolio files and provide a centralized interface for the administration of all portfolio and securitization initiatives.

Stonebriar Chief Risk Officer Jeff Wilkison commented, “Dirk has been a trusted and reliable member of our team spanning several decades. His deep industry knowledge and experience gives him a unique perspective and enables him to be a strong mentor to the younger members of our credit staff.”

Stonebriar hired Harrison in 2015 as a junior credit analyst in support of the ELFA’s Emerging Talent initiative. He has effectively underwritten progressively complex transactions and made significant contributions in every project assigned to him, all of which have been key in Stonebriar’s overall success.

“Harrison’s knowledge and underwriting expertise have progressed quickly due to his strong work ethic, desire to excel and exemplary ability to analyze and present the relevant information,” said Wilkison.

Ellis will assume management responsibilities for business development and oversight of daily operations of the Real Estate Group.

“Ryan joined our team in 2013 taking on roles of progressively greater responsibility. It is always rewarding to see our team members develop,” said Curtis Valenzuela, Real Estate Group executive vice president.

Dave B. Fate, Stonebriar CEO, added “We are pleased to recognize and empower these talented professionals whose contributions will be integral to Stonebriar’s continued success. Dirk adds a seasoned level of oversight insuring our portfolio records are well maintained and available when needed by securitization trustees and custodians. Harrison will excel in our organization as he continues to build out his skill set and assume more responsibilities. Ryan’s contributions in his expanded role will enable the Real Estate Group to continue its exciting growth.
