Odessa hired John Pearce to lead its ‘everything as a service’ (XaaS) solutions platform.
Pearce joined Odessa from Chargebee, where, as vice president of product management, he helped customers automate their subscription revenue businesses. Before Chargebee, Pearce held leadership positions with mHelpDesk, Epicor Software and Smitty’s Building Supply. He will work from the greater Washington, D.C. area.
“Technology has made asset finance subscriptions feasible,” Eric Bernstein, CEO of Odessa, said. “John will enable banks, captives and other finance companies to offer a wider variety of subscriptions on one Odessa platform. This will increase financiers’ connections with their customers and thus their revenue.”
In addition to leasing a basic bulldozer, for example, through a XaaS solution, a company can now also get usage data, telematics and GPS data.
“Customers want flexibility,” Pearce said. “XaaS gives them that flexibility, even as it manages risk for financing organizations and offers them new methods of monetization. I’m excited to join Odessa, which has been leading the way to everything as a service.”
